At long last, I want to express my huge gratitude to all at Hobson’s Choice for making my kitchen adventure such an enjoyable and satisfactory one. From the first moment I walked through your Bath showroom door to the last door being hung, I experienced nothing but care, courtesy, and confident expertise.

My plans kept changing and went from a modest refurbishment to building a sizeable first-floor extension. In fact, it turned into such a lengthy process that I had the benefit of three different designers over the years! However, MD Richard ensured that the handovers were smooth and I was always kept informed, so I feel I gained from each of their different strengths.

One of the reasons I would shout my recommendations of Hobson’s from the rooftops is that the size of my kitchen and budget was relatively small, but despite this, I was never made to feel anything but a valued customer. I had aspired to a Bulthaup kitchen because I admired one that Hobson’s had installed in some friend’s new build, which they were delighted with. As I felt the real thing was out of my reach, I initially shopped around with three other companies for lookalikes but found that their quotes weren’t much lower than the one I later had from Hobson’s (for what I believe would have been an inferior product).

I’m so glad I eventually decided to check out Hobson’s because their customer care standard was impeccable throughout. As the project grew, the start was much delayed, so by the time we were ready to roll, Covid threatened to intervene, but Richard, my third designer, ensured that everything ran to schedule and held my hand throughout all the final stages. There was never a time when I didn’t feel totally supported - he responded to emails immediately. He answered questions about my choice of appliance or layout utilising his and Hobson’s collective experience. I always felt that our decisions were sensible and that I was in very safe hands.

Inevitably there was a huge disruption to my quiet life throughout the six-month build, and I honestly believe without feeling so confident in my choice of trusty builder and steadfast Hobson’s, there were times when I would have either raged or given up. Instead, I felt so well supported, and any issues were ironed out so smoothly, the actual kitchen installation was a pleasure. The lovely Installers were always punctual, tidy, efficient and delightful, the worktop fabricators skilled and efficient, and everyone was so mindful of Covid restrictions and my upheaval.

In these days of large companies hiding behind anonymity and refusing to be accountable to their customers, it’s been totally refreshing to deal with Hobson’s Choice. In fact, their modus operandi is so faultless that not only am I waxing lyrical to family and friends and putting them top of my list when I invest in new bathrooms, but I wish they ran John Lewis and the NHS; as well!
