The Brief

Our client sought a high-quality media display solution in a contemporary style, capable of decluttering their living room, hiding away the hi-fi, Apple TV and media resources whilst reducing the prominence of their flatscreen TV.

The Design

The bespoke piece of wall-mounted display furniture was designed to complement our client’s taste, interior architecture and functional requirements perfectly.

Beneath the opaque glass wall panels, an innovative aluminium structure ensures the furniture is firmly attached to the wall and the shelves and storage appear to float effortlessly without visible mountings.

The aluminium shelves feature integrated LED illumination to highlight the client’s decorative items.

The Rimadesio Abacus floating storage module is finished in beautiful walnut veneer which is book-matched to extend the wood grain along the width of the unit.

The focus on detail continues within the storage module drawers, each gliding smoothly along accurately engineered runners.

Our client was so delighted with our work he left an incredibly positive public review on our Google business page.

We wanted to create what we eventually learned to call a ‘media wall’. We picked Hobsons Choice in Winchester as they are local and who best understood what we were trying to achieve. Basically, we wanted to take prominence away from our TV and hide all of our media resources: hi-fi, music vault, Apple TV and so on. Decluttering and making a stylish focus. Guy designed the scheme for us with Rimadesio Italian-made components, in glass and walnut

Once the components arrived they were fitted by Ben and Ben, to a standard way beyond expectations, to a level that puts everyone else in the shade. Every microscopic detail was attended to and exceeded. Shaun was drafted in to put in all the electrical fittings, sockets and switches that we needed, again a thorough and professional job. The final item is now in place and we are still smiling
